Near the top of a ridge above the San Pedro Necta valleys sits Finca La Colmenita (The Beehive). Francisco Cardona Martin bought La Colmenita in 2002, he had a vision: To produce the best quality coffees possible. Francisco called his farm "The Beehive" because he loves his bees - happily buzzing about the farm pollinating his coffees plants, bees make the honey which provides a secondary income for the farm.
Very syrupy and sweet, chocolate and cranberry notes combine for a very well balanced profile with good, but not overwhelming, acidity. Great choice for press or espresso.
We also have 9oz jars of coffee blossom honey available from Francisco's farm here!
