Ruben started in coffee 35 years ago working on his father's farm. Together with his wife Ericka and their three daughters Maricruz, Raquel, and Tatiana they manage a portion of that farm today. Their hard work throughout the year from soil testing to shade management results in amazing coffees.
Intensely sweet, almost jolly rancher candy. Lots of malic (think green apple) and berry acidity. Body is light, crisp, and tea-like, with the characteristic "raisin toast" quality that Tarrazu coffees are known for.
