It’s hard to overstate the tranquil setting of Fazenda Passeio - coffee plantings are interspersed with preserved forests throughout the farm, ensuring habitats for local wildlife are preserved. Some years back, he converted the entire farm to solar power, they even repurpose the coffee parchment and tree prunings to fuel the driers.
Adolfo is the 4th generation of his family to work in coffee, and at Fazenda Passeio he is a pioneer in both quality and sustainability in the region. He manages 130 hectares of coffee on steep terrain with the help of many workers, who in turn get a fair wage as well as social support for their families so their children can attend school, as well as training for them in coffee processing and environmental preservation.
Very nutty and chocolatey, with lots of sweetness and a bit of dry fruit. Very well balanced, pleasant coffee, would be great on espresso or french press!
