The Villatoro family has been growing coffee in Hoja Blanca for decades, and Pedro’s aggressive pruning techniques combined with natural shade provided by the ridge of the mountain lead to amazing coffees year after year. Despite the challenges of Roja (coffee leaf rust) and roads that are nearly impassible after heavy rains, he continues to improve his processing techniques and plant new varietals with the help of his sons Ervin and Nehemias. Just last year they won third place overall at Guatemala’s Cup of Excellence with a Gesha-Caturra hybrid!
Incredible candy sweetness with notes of cranberry and orange, balanced with a syrupy chocolate finish. Great for just about any brew method!
